Welcome to FeChat. Your privacy is important to us. This policy describes what we collect, why, and who we share it with.

Information We Collect

  • Account details: name, email, and phone number
  • Sensitive faith information: your denomination, faith goals, struggles you choose to share, and other prayer-related profile data
  • Content you create: chat conversations, journal entries, prayers, and other content you generate or save in the app
  • Audio: voice recordings and generated text-to-speech audio from voice and prayer features
  • Profile preferences: Bible version, language, and other settings
  • Usage and product interaction data: how you use app features
  • Purchase history: your subscription and purchase records
  • Device identifiers, including your advertising identifier, only if you allow tracking (see Advertising & Analytics below)
  • Crash diagnostics from the TikTok SDK

Who We Share Information With

  • Clerk — authentication and account management
  • Convex — our application backend and database, which stores your account, profile, content, and subscription state
  • PostHog — product analytics, to understand app usage and improve the app
  • RevenueCat — subscription and purchase management, alongside Apple/Google as the billing platform
  • AI and voice model providers that power chat, prayer, devotional, and voice features, to generate responses and audio from the content you send them
  • TikTok — only if you allow tracking, for advertising attribution (see below)

Your name, email, and user ID are shared with all of the above for app functionality; with PostHog for analytics; and, only when tracking is allowed, with TikTok for developer advertising. Your denomination, faith goals, struggles, and other sensitive faith information are used only for app functionality, personalization, and analytics — never for advertising.

Advertising & Analytics

Our app uses the TikTok App Events SDK to measure the effectiveness of our advertising campaigns on TikTok. This SDK may collect your device's advertising identifier (IDFA), app activity (such as app installs and launches), and in-app purchase data, and share it with TikTok for ad attribution and optimization purposes. On iOS, we only initialize this SDK, and only collect and send this data, after you allow tracking when prompted — a denied, restricted, or not-yet-decided response keeps it off.

You can opt out of this tracking at any time by going to Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking on your iPhone and disabling tracking for this app.
